2023 Miss Congeniality
Caroline Sullivan Leahy

In addition to being on the Colleen’s Court, Caroline was selected by her peers to be Miss Congeniality!

Caroline is a Holyoke native and is the daughter of James and Eileen Leahy. She has a brother Brendan and a younger sister, Paige. Caroline’s grandfather, Thomas M. Leahy, immigrated from Dingle, County Kerry on June 30, 1963. Her paternal Great grandparents immigrated from Faulmore, County Mayo. Her maternal great great grandparents came from Counties Waterford, Cavan, and Kerry.

Caroline attended high school at St. Mary’s High School in Westfield and graduated in 2020. During all four years of high school, Caroline was a member of the varsity soccer team, the varsity basketball team, and the varsity tennis team. Somehow, she also found time to be on the student council for four years, including working as the Student Council President for 2 years and receiving the Torch of Freedom Award.

Currently, Caroline is a student at Saint Anselm College where she is working towards her degree in elementary education and is expected to graduate in 2024. Caroline is also a student ambassador at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. And is an active member of the Koinonia Service Society, where she volunteers for various events on and off campus. Including working as a volunteer for the Food for Children – Food Pantry and the Foster Parents Night out event. For several years, Caroline has worked as a nanny and child care provider, including volunteering at Marie Zurheide’s Daycare in Holyoke.

Caroline’s future plans include graduating from St. Anselm’s College and obtaining a master degree in Special Education before beginning a career as a second or third grade teacher.
