Stephanie C. Joyce Named 2024 Rohan Award Winner

The Saint Patrick's Committee of Holyoke has announced that the 66th Thomas F. Rohan Award recipient is Stephanie C. Joyce. The Thomas F. Rohan Award is given annually to a long-standing member of the Parade Committee who has made significant contributions to the overall success of the Parade and/or this Association. It is named in honor of the first Grand Marshal, Thomas F. Rohan.

A 12-year member of the Committee and Holyoke native, Stephanie has served on nearly every subcommittee and has held several important roles throughout her tenure. Her leadership skills were evident when she served as Board Chair from 2018-2022 when very difficult decisions needed to be made during COVID.

Stephanie has Co-Chaired many events including the Marshal’s Reception, Awards Dinner, and the Coronation Ball. She annually serves on the Program Book, Road Race, Marketing, the Mike Ahearn Memorial Golf Tournament and other committees. She has also been instrumental in fundraising for the Parade by selling tickets for the Past President’s Raffle and coordinating Celebrity Bartending events.

Stephanie serves as the Committee’s Liaison to the Irish Cultural Center (ICC) of Western Massachusetts and is a Board Member and Treasurer of the ICC. She also volunteers for several community organizations in Holyoke and for surrounding communities.

Stephanie is a graduate of Holyoke High School and the University of Massachusetts’ Isenburg School of Management. She is employed by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and is the daughter of Cynthia and Marc Joyce, Sister to Katie Joyce (and her husband Mary Walsh), and proud Aunt of Grace, Gabrielle, and Rowan Walsh.

“There is not one subcommittee or event that Stephanie hasn’t been on or has provided support for,” said Hayley Dunn, Parade President. “Every member knows that if you need to get something done, the motto is ‘ask Stef’. I’m so grateful to Stephanie for her commitment to the overall success of the Parade and our events year-after-year. She is incredibly deserving of this honor.”
