Thomas F. Rohan Award
The Thomas F. Rohan Award recipient shall be a long-standing member of the Parade Committee who has made significant contributions to the overall success of the Parade and/or this Association. In 1957, the St. Patrick’s Committee of Holyoke established an award to honor its first Grand Marshal, Thomas F. Rohan.
2026 Thomas F. Rohan Award Recipient:
Tessa Murphy-Romboletti
Tessa Murphy-Romboletti exemplifies the spirit of service and community leadership that the Rohan Award celebrates. A dedicated member of the Parade Committee since 2011, she has played an active role in ensuring the continued success of one of Holyoke’s most cherished traditions.
Within the Committee, Tessa has played a vital role across several key subcommittees. She has served as chair of the Ambassador’s Breakfast, one of the Parade’s signature events celebrating community partnerships and honorees, and as co-chair of the Sign Carriers Committees, a team responsible for organizing and coordinating the hundreds of participants who help bring the Parade to life each year. Additionally, she co chairs the website, leading efforts to enhance the Parade’s online presence and promote the organization’s events, history and volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Tessa was also a proud member of the 2007 Colleen Court.
A lifelong Holyoker, Murphy-Romboletti is currently serving her second term as an At-Large City Councilor and as President of the Holyoke City Council. Professionally, she serves as Executive Director of EforAll/EparaTodos Pioneer Valley, a nonprofit that accelerates economic and social impact in communities through inclusive entrepreneurship. Her leadership in economic and community development has had a lasting impact on the region, fostering opportunity and inclusion for all.
“Tessa represents the very best of Holyoke’s civic spirit — her energy, dedication, and leadership continue to strengthen the city and our Parade community,” said Jim Wildman, Parade President. “Her commitment to both public service and the values of our organization make her an exceptional recipient of this honor.”
Prior to her work with EforAll, Murphy-Romboletti served as Program Manager for SPARK Holyoke at the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, guiding the program’s transition to EforAll in 2018. She also spent five years with the City of Holyoke in both the Planning & Economic Development Department and the Mayor’s Office. In 2022, she was recognized by BusinessWest as a “40 Under 40” recipient and in 2024 was awarded the honor of Emerge Massachusetts’ “Woman of the Year”.
A proud graduate of Holyoke Public Schools, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from the University of Delaware. She also serves on the MassHire Holyoke Board of Directors and remains deeply engaged in civic and volunteer efforts throughout the community.
